Tomorrow will be our last day of summer camp, and we will be ending with a water day! Bring your best water guns, sunscreen, and clothes you can get soaked in!
We had a great summer, and would like to thank everyone who sent their children to partake in the fun.
Reminders: Thursday is our rockclimbing trip for those who signed up! Next week is the hunter safety course at the school.

There will be no Thrower's practice the next two Mondays due to the heat and the Washington County Fair. We hope to be back at it July 29th. Stay cool!

On July 22nd and 24th, Lone Star will host a hunter safety class for any students interested. This is a great opportunity for our students to learn about hunting laws and how to be safe around firearms! The two days are full days of class, so it will not follow our usual two hour camp schedule.

REMINDER: JH/HS Boys Basketball Open Gym, tomorrow July 8th, 7-9am
The fishing group is leaving Wray in about 5 minutes, which is a little earlier than scheduled.
Tomorrow is the youth summer program's trip to the Wray hatchery. There will be no camp at the school.
There will be a van from the school leaving at 6:45am, and returning at approximately 12:15pm. The van from Yuma will leave the Family Dollar parking lot at 7:15am and return at approximately 11:45am. There will be a snack provided for the kids. If you have questions, please contact Amanda Baucke. We are looking forward to a fun trip!
Reminder tomorrow, July 1st, there WILL be JH/HS boys basketball open gym from 7-9.
There will NOT be a Thrower's practice tomorrow, however.
Our youth camp will be indoors today and Monday, so make sure to bring gym shoes.
Reminder: Wednesday 7/3 we will not be at the school for camp as we will be in Wray at the fish hatchery. If you are interested in our fishing trip that day, please let Mrs. Baucke know.
Friendly reminder: Because physicals were not offered as a school wide function this year, parents will need to make their athlete's appointment at your convenience. Both Yuma and Akron are offering appointments specific to Sports Physicals ...June 26th in Yuma and June 28th at Akron.
CHSAA requires a special physical form that was sent home with all students who will be in JH or HS this coming August. If you need another copy or have any questions please feel free to contact Peggy Fisher. fisherp@lonestar.k12.co.us

June 25th Summer league at NJC. Bus leaves at 5. Games are at 6 and 8.
Throwers will be meeting again this Monday, June 24th, at 9am. We are planning to meet every Monday for the rest of the summer as schedules allow.
Our summer camp will have guest coaches this week for wrestling and gymnastics! No experience needed, just clean socks!

Coach Alyssa will be meeting with any JH or HS throwers who want to work on their shot and discus skills Monday, June 17th at 9am at the school. Hope to see lots of kids there!
