Good afternoon, Lone Star. We have a couple of adjustments to our volleyball schedule already. Since we are not able to field a JV team this year, there will be several time changes. We will keep you updated as soon as adjustments are final. We will base starting time based on officials and the times they can arrive. Here are the two changes so far:

HS VB @ Caliche Tuesday, Aug. 25 will now start at 5:30 p.m.
HS VB vs. Hi Plains Friday, October 30 will now be a HOME game at 5:00 p.m.

A few first day of school logistics:

All students/staff/community are welcome to join in on a prayer at the pole activity at 7:40 on Tuesday morning. This will happen at the flag pole in front of the school and is the students choice to join or not.

After that all K-6 students will report to their classrooms.
All 7th-12th students please find your locker, grab your schedules and report to the lunchroom.

Chromebooks will be distributed throughout the day to each individual class. You will be called down to the office to pick up your computers and insurance paperwork.

Good morning Lone Star. The HS volleyball season is off to a start. Our Lady Longhorns will be traveling to Wray to take on the Lady Eagles on Thursday, August 20, 2026. There is a slight time change compared to the scheduled sent out. The varsity game will now start at 5:30 p.m. in Wray. The bus will leave Lone Star at 3:45 p.m. with a pickup in Yuma at 4:00 p.m. at the Family Dollar parking lot. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Peggy Fisher. Thank you!

Good afternoon Lone Star community. As we begin the new school year we wanted to reach out to the community to gauge interest in joining the community club. Sarah Kuntz has done an amazing job of running the community club for many years at Lone Star and we are forever grateful for her leadership. The time has come to usher in some new leadership as Sarah has decided to pass the torch on to the next generation of the Lone Star community. The biggest role of the community club is the annual carnival that is held every October. If you have an interest in joining the community club please reach out to Mr. Bowers. Sarah is happy to mentor anyone interested this coming year to help make the transition run smoothly.

Reminder for students taking college classes.
Classes with NJC and MCC begin on August 17th. If you are taking a college class and need a computer, you will need to come in beforehand to get one.
If you have questions or need assistance from Mrs. Biesemeier regarding classes, she will be at the school on August 4th, 13th, and the 14th, or you can reach her by phone.
