The last two weeks of school are busy!
Here's a cliff notes version of events:

5/ 13- FFA Banquet @ 6:30
5/14-5/16 - State Track
5/15- K-6 Book it Field Trip
5/20- 3rd- 6th End of year field trip
5/21-
K-2 End of year field trip
Academic Awards night/Track Awards night for JH/HS @ 6:00
Continuation to follow awards.
5/22- Last Day of School, Elementary awards at 8:00 AM, K-6 field day.
Students dismissed after field day and lunch. Lunch will be provided.

Another reminder: Track pictures will be taken tomorrow, May 12th, for ALL JH & HS track athletes. Envelopes should have been handed out last week. Extras will be available at school. Don't forget your uniforms!

Good morning Lone Star. Today, 5/11/26 the Yuma Clinic will be performing sports physicals from 1-5 p.m. $25 per physical and there must be parent/guardian signature. There will be other dates that Yuma Clinic will give sports physicals as well! I will get that info out shortly. LET'S GO LONGHORNS

Good morning Lone Star. Our HS track athletes will be traveling to Roosevelt High School tomorrow, 4/9/26. The coaches have discussed with the team what athletes are going tomorrow. The van will leave Lone Star at 7:30 a.m. with a pickup in Otis at 7:45 a.m.

We will run normal routes for all bus routes this afternoon.

Our Spring Concert will be tomorrow May 7th. It is also our Curtis Dean Rhoades Scholarship Dinner. Dinner will start around 5:00p.m.. Concert will begin at 6:15 following the dinner. Please have the K-4 students in their classrooms and 5-8th students in the music room by 6 p.m.

We will plan on doing mud routes for all routes tomorrow morning. We will wait and see what Mother Nature has in store and make a final decision on school in the morning. Please contact your drivers if you have any questions.

Due to the weather this afternoon, JH & HS track pictures have been moved to Tuesday, May 12th starting at 2:30.
Also, the League track meet has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 7th. Field events will start at 10am. The bus will leave Lone Star at 8am.

Quick reminder: 7-12 grade track pictures tomorrow starting at 2:30 p.m. LET'S GO LONGHORNS

The fifth and sixth grade classes are going to Holyoke tomorrow for Ag-fest. They will be leaving the school at 8 AM and they need to bring a lunch and a water bottle. They will return to the school around 3pm.

The track meet at Holyoke for tomorrow May 4th, has been moved up to a 9am start time. With this new information we will need to adjust our departure time from the school to 7am.

Good afternoon, Lone Star. Our HS track team will be traveling to Holyoke on Monday, 5/4/26. This is a "twilight" meet meaning events will start at 2:00 p.m. The bus will leave Lone Star at 12:00 p.m. Hope to see you at the track! LET'S GO LONGHORNS

Good afternoon Lone Star. This coming Tuesday May 5th, 7th through 12 grade track will be taking their track season pictures. Due to the 5/6 Ag trip that day, we will be rescheduling those pictures. Thank you.

Our seniors will be doing their cap stone presentations tomorrow starting at 1:10p.m. in the gym.

Good afternoon, Lone Star. Tomorrow, 4/30/26, our JH track team will travel to Prairie for our league track meet. This will be a combined league meet with the NCL league. However, we will be scoring each team with their own league. The bus will leave Lone Star at 7:00 a.m. sharp with a brief stop at the Travel Center in Sterling at 7:25 a.m. We hope to see you at the track!
