All 5th-12th polevaulters, interested in competing in the 2022 track season, need to be at the Lone Star School track @ 8 am Saturday(19th). Athletes will setup the pit and practice will immediately follow. If anyone have any questions regarding this practice call 970-630-1462

Good Morning! It's a great day to be a Longhorn! Due to the weather and the importance of getting our team to Greeley safely we will be moving the pep rally and state send off to 9:30 am this morning. The team will leave the school around 10:15 am. Thank you for your understanding.

We have made the decision to cancel school this Thursday, March 10th. Many people from our staff, student body, and community will be gone supporting our girls at state. We are hopeful that everyone can make it to Greeley to cheer on our lady longhorns in their first ever state basketball appearance. GO LONGHORNS!

There will be a community pep rally for the Lady Longhorn Basketball Team on Wednesday, March 9th at 3 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Order must be in by 7 pm (sunday March 6th) - team roster will be on the back and front will have Lone Star Longhorns state basketball 2022 (or something close to that) Adults, youth and toddler sizes available. Send your order to Janet at mullerj@lonestar.k12.co.us Costs are $20 short sleeves $25 Long sleeves $40 hoodie. (all royal blue) Funds will need to be to the school by end of day monday (reminder - we have monday school this week ) Country Creations in Sterling are doing our shirts and are donating $5 from each shirt to the girls team for travel and food costs. Brackets have been posted by CHSAA - We drew the number 1 seed Briggsdale at 11:45 on Thursday Morning. Go Longhorns!!

With the weather being unpredictable tomorrow morning we are not going to take a spirit bus to the game.

Parents: Due to sickness, Mrs. Manuello and Ms. Serrato will not be able to be at Parent/Teacher conferences tonight. Mr. Arnoldy will be available from 4:00- 6:00. We will be rescheduling times to meet with Mrs. Manuello and Mrs. Serrato at a later date. Thank you for your understanding.

Reminder: Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, March 3rd from 4:00-7:00. Elementary conferences scheduled were communicated directly with parents. All conferences will be held in teachers classrooms.

There will be no school this Friday, March 4th for Regional Basketball at Brush High School. Our Lady Longhorns will be playing Elbert at 10:00 am. We will be offering a spirit bus for any students interested in going to the game. Please contact the office or email Mr. Bowers by Thursday at noon (bowersm@lonestar.k12.co.us) if you would like to attend the game. All students/staff must pay their own admissions into the game. Go Longhorns!!

The regional brackets have been released. Our Lady Longhorns will play the Elbert Bulldogs at 10 AM on Friday, March 4 at Brush High School. .

Lone Star Lady Longhorn Alivia Weathers signs her letter of intent to attend Concordia College in Nebraska next year. She will be playing basketball and running track and received a scholarship for these sports. We are extremely proud of this young lady and wish her the best of luck in her future.

Playoff video streaming rights are controlled by CHSAA and we are no longer allowed to stream to Facebook/YouTube. We ARE streaming games, but they are only available on the NFHS Network. you can subscribe to watch at https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/subscribe/retail Cost is $11.00 monthly and once you subscribe you can watch all games done by NFHS network. Boys play at 5:30pm tonight! Girls will play tomorrow at Brush at 7:00pm.
