Today's game starts at 3:30 with JH A girls, JH A boys, Varsity Girls, Varsity boys.
Saturday's game starts at 4 pm with Varsity girls and Varsity Boys. Our Elementary K-4 will be performing at half time of each game. Grades 3 and 4 will be during the half time of girls game and they need to be at the school at 4:15 pm. Grades K-2 will be during the half time of the boys game and they need to be at the school by 5 pm. Please meet in Miss Serrato's classroom.
There will be an FFA dinner on Saturday (see attached flier)
The FFA livestock grant due date has been extended until tomorrow (Thursday) at 4:30 pm.

This week at Lone Star: Today our High School Basketball Teams travels to Briggsdale. Girls play at 6 followed by the Boys team. Regional spelling Bee is at Haxtun tomorrow. Our Students competing will be leaving first thing in the morning. Thursday we will be having a makeup game vs Bethune at 3:30 pm With JH girls A team, JH boys A Team, Girls Varsity, Boys Varsity,
Friday - GT Students have a field trip to NJC at 1PM and there will be a Valentine's Dance at 7-9 pm for Grades 5-12. Saturday HS basketball vs Flagler at 4PM Girls Varsity and boys Varsity, Elementary basketball debut will be at half time of both of these games. Elem. Students K-4th please be at the school by 4:15 pm.
On February 25th during our Adulting Day, Lone Star, partnered with NE BOCES, will be hosting a Reality Check with all 8th-12th grade students. During the event students are assigned a random annual income before travelling to booths like housing, clothing, insurance, child care, etc... to make virtual payments from their budget. Although they must visit every booth, they are empowered to make their own personal decisions.
We would like every booth to be hosted by local volunteers from our communities. If you’re a local business and would like to be a volunteer at one of our booths please contact Mike Bowers at bowersm@lonestar.k12.co.us.
Tomorrow our JH and HS will travel to Deer Trail. JH will leave around 9:30 AM and HS will leave around 1 PM- it will be a long day for our students tomorrow so please make sure they have snacks, JH students need a lunch(pack a lunch or school bag lunch) or money for concessions.

Information for tomorrow's games: JH teams be at the school at 7:45am, bus leaves at 8am. There will be a stop to pick up students at 8:15.

Tomorrow is Adulting day for JH and HS. Saturday is the JH Basketball Tourney starting at 9am at Woodlin. We will not know the order of games until after this evenings games are completed.

We are just about a week out until we host our first coat drive! Our sorting event will take place Jan 28th at 4pm. If you have the means, please drop by the school and place your coats in one of the donation bins! There is a drop off bin in the front entry way of the school if you can't make it by between school hours!
