During the school year, students have been nominated for students of the month. This is a new initiative created by the local accountability committee to recognize students who go above and beyond. The criteria to be nominated is below:
Students are nominated based on STAR values and our graduation competencies.

We have been posting our winners on Facebook, but failed to realize that not all of of our stakeholders use that platform. At the end of the school year, the accountability committee will choose an overall winner based off of all student nominations. Here are our winners for this year so far.

The High School basketball teams will be in Fleming tomorrow 12/19. Games will start at 4pm with 1/2 JV boys followed by Varsity Girls then Varsity Boys.
Lone Star is hosting Hi-Plains today starting at 3 p.m.

Christmas Tea Invitation following the Christmas Concert on Thursday December 14th at 6:30
The junior high basketball teams will travel to Fleming tomorrow. The bus will leave the school at 2:50 pm. B games will start at 4:00 pm, followed by A games.
The high school basketball teams will leave the school at 3:00pm for games at Prairie starting at 5:00pm . Please be at the bus by 2:50pm. There will be one stop in Sterling.

The Girls and Boys High School Basketball teams will be playing in the Prairie Classic basketball tournament this Friday and Saturday, December 8th & 9th. Friday the girls will play at 3:30 and the boys will play at 5.
If the teams win on Friday the girls will play at 5 and the boys at 6:30 on Saturday.
If the teams lose on Friday the girls will play at 2 and the boys at 3:30.

Reminder: Junior high basketball A teams play today in Woodlin starting at 4:00pm. The bus will depart Lone Star at 1:45pm, and make one stop in Otis at 2:00pm.
Tomorrow Junior High and High School basketball teams will travel to Peetz for games starting at 3:00pm. The bus will leave the school at 1:00pm.
Tomorrow Lone Star High School hosts Potter-Dix at 1:00 pm. JV teams will be followed by varsity.
Monday Dec. 4th the junior high travel to Woodlin for A games at 4:00 pm. The bus will leave the school at 1:45 pm with a stop in Otis.
Tuesday Dec. 5th junior high and high school travel to Peetz, where junior high B and A teams will play simultaneously in different gyms starting at 3:00 pm. JV boys will start after junior high, followed by varsity teams.

Reminder: Tomorrow night is the Fall Sports Banquet recognizing all junior high and high school athletes that participated in any sport this fall. Please join us at 6pm in the cafeteria for a potluck style meal. The grades are assigned the following dises:
12th & 9th: Main dish
11th, 10th, & 8th : Side dish
5th, 6th, & 7th: Dessert
